IHSS&IWA26 / BRNO / CZECHIA / 23–28 August 2026 BOOK OF ABSTRACTS 166 Travel Awardee Presentations Friday, 28 August 2026 / Hall C SOM has its origin. Similar findings were obtained separately for NMR, FTIR-ATR, and EPR. The concentration of radicals was almost 10x higher for humins from SKI, while the higher g-parameters were established for BRO. Within the groups BRO and NO, it could be found that control samples, without any additives, differ from the rest of the samples. A similar finding was observed for other SOM fractions. Organic fertilization and soil management play a key role in shaping soil fertility, influencing several physical and chemical properties of the soil and its organic fractions. The addition of manure significantly affected the structure of SOM, increasing the number of aliphatic components, in contrast to the soil fertilized with NPK. This shift in composition suggests that organic amendments can enhance the soil‘s nutrient retention and improve overall soil health. As a result, adopting organic practices not only benefits crop yields but also contributes to sustainable agricultural systems.
