Beyond chemical characterization, the isolated fractions were compared for hydroxyl radical (•OH) scavenging and triplet-state dissolved organic matter (3DOM) production under multiple UV wavelengths. These experiments connected molecular composition with photochemical reactivity and highlighted how different wastewater organic matter fractions may influence advanced oxidation processes and natural photochemical transformations. These results advance towards establishing a standardized wastewaterderived reference material for the environmental and water treatment research communities.
